El Campillo

La Dehesa y El Campillo is a family farm located 8 km from Almogía (Malaga), has an area of 1,200 hectares, of which 700 ha. correspond to Mediterranean forest.  Its meadows, hills and meadows are ideal for grazing our nearly 1,200 dairy goats of the native Malagueña breed. In addition, we have cereal and fodder crops for animal feed, olive groves, almond and carob trees.

Cropland and pasture land are oriented towards the following areas the south side of the boundaries of "El ChorroandEl Torcal de Antequera"(World Heritage -UNESCO-), natural sites of high ecological value worldwide.

We are firmly convinced that respect for nature and animal care are the key to the agro-ecological and regenerative sustainability of our farm.

This is the best way we have found to maintain the farm today, pampering and taking care of the land to to obtain food of the highest quality and safety for people in our territory.

Our History

The current ecological agricultural and livestock farm comprises the union of three farms, La Dehesa, La Venta de Cantarraijan or del Fraile and El Campillo whose history goes back to its first owners, the Society of Jesus, in the seventeenth century, and that, after its expropriation in the eighteenth century, was dedicated to the cultivation of vines and cereals for two centuries until the phylloxera crisis.
